Management TeamJanet Trammel, Executive DirectorJanet brings over 25 years of experience working with seniors to Desert Flower Assisted Living. She graduated with a BA in Healthcare Administration with a specialty in Gerontology. Janet possesses both an Arizona State Board of Licensure for Assisted Living Administrators License and also a California State RCFE License which allows her to oversee operations in both states. Janet is very committed to her residents and her family. When Janet is not working she enjoys time with her family and taking care of her two large Mastiff dogs. Sarah Schmidt, Director of MarketingSarah comes to Desert Flower with years of experience from the hospitality industry, starting as an assistant for Event Management and working her way up to an Event Manager. She has a BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University. The transition from the hospitality industry to the assisted living industry has been an easy one for Sarah as she brings her love for people and her desire to make them smile. Sarah also brings with her experience as Director of Community Relations from her last assisted living community. Sarah has a true passion for the outdoors and loves reading, yoga, and animals. When Sarah isn’t at the community she is spending time with friends, family, especially her two beautiful nieces, and her dog, Mika, or traveling around the ever changing and beautiful Arizona. Tracy Strand, Health Services DirectorTracy Strand brings to the Desert Flower family years of clinical knowledge and health care management experience. She is a licensed nurse and is certified by the Board of Examiners of Nursing Care Institution Administrators and Assisted Living Managers though the State of Arizona. When Tracy is not at work she enjoys spending quality time with her family. Peg Aspinwall, Activities DirectorPeg Aspinwall brings to Desert Flower an extensive and diverse background of experience, from horticulture and jewelry-making to computer programming and cosmetology. Peg loves to try new things and share her wide range of skills with the residents of Desert Flower. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her four children and ten grandchildren. Amanda Bilancetti, Assisted Living CoordinatorAmanda Bilancetti has been a member of the Desert Flower family since 1999, serving in many roles from Receptionist to Lead Medical Technician. She is working toward obtaining her nursing degree. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family and scrapbooking. Peggy Sanschagrin, Kingswood Court Program DirectorPeggy Sanschagrin has 16 years of experience in health care, social work and working for Assisted Living communities. She has committed herself to the study of Alzheimer's and dementia to better understand the needs and behaviors of the residents of Kingswood Court. Cecelia Ponzini, Food Service DirectorCecelia brings over thirty years of experience in several Dining Services capacities to Desert Flower. She has grown and studied abroad learning many culinary tastes. She has management experience from several upscale resort dining rooms and kitchens. Cecelia has been able to integrate her experiences abroad and locally to bring a high standard of service to Desert Flower's dining experience. Florence Meyers, Business Office DirectorFlorence Meyers has held this position at Desert Flower since 2003. Her career includes over 20 years of experience as a Controller at 14 skilled Medicare facilities. She is studying to earn her manager's license. In her spare time, Florence enjoys gardening, spending time with her husband and six children and visiting casinos. Jim Anderson, Environmental Services DirectorJim Anderson brings to Desert Flower over 28 years of experience in healthcare maintenance. Born and raised in Washington state, he and his family moved to the Chandler area in 2001. He enjoys spending time with his four children and four grandchildren.
